With the conclusion of the 2025 TEEP@YBTI recruitment process, we are pleased to announce the final round of admissions. This year, we received more than 500 applications from around the world, making the selection process highly competitive and incredibly challenging. Congratulations to the 17 outstanding applicants who made it onto the final list! 

To those who were not selected, please don’t be discouraged. The decision was not a reflection of your qualifications alone, but also the limitations of available placements. We sincerely appreciate your interest and effort.

However, we must also share an important and difficult update regarding the status of this year’s program.

Due to an unforeseen and complex challenge, we are temporarily unable to issue invitation letters and official documents to the confirmed participants. The issue arises from the recent tariff policies introduced by Donald Trump, which have had a significant impact on our partner companies—especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Taiwan that depend heavily on international trade. In response to this shifting economic landscape, many of these companies are now focusing on internal strategy adjustments and have expressed hesitation in committing to hosting international interns this year.

We have been actively in discussion with our partner companies in hopes of overcoming this challenge. However, the uncertainty remains, and we fully understand our partners’ need to prioritize business continuity at this time. Unfortunately, this situation puts us in a difficult position, as the program’s success also depends on strong corporate participation.

Our program director, together with our consultant team, will meet to assess the situation and make a final decision next week regarding whether the program can proceed as planned. While we continue to explore all available options, we believe it is our responsibility to be transparent and advise all admitted candidates to consider a backup plan in the meantime.

We are truly sorry for this unexpected and uncontrollable situation. It is not the outcome we had hoped for, and we share your disappointment. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued interest in the TEEP@YBTI program.
